In this article, you will learn about how to become an
expert in Urdu translation; in addition to this, we will also put some light on
job related opportunities and how you can make a career in Urdu translation industry.
If you are living in India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, or you are
born from Urdu speaking parents or parent, then speaking Urdu language will not
be a problem, but merely speaking any language doesn’t mean that you are expert
of that language.
Besides Urdu language as your mother tongue, you need to
learn a second language of your choice; you are in comfort in; for example,
English, Kashmiri, Persian, Arabic etc. The list is very long and we can't write
all the languages spoken all over there world.
Here, I would like to mention one more fact that is
important about second language. If you prefer regional languages, it is okay. However,
one additional international language will adorn your personality as an Urdu
translator in Urdu translation industry. For example,
Urdu to English translation
Urdu to Russian translation
Urdu to Chinese translation
Urdu to German translation
Urdu to Korean translation
Urdu to Vietnamese translation
Urdu to Arabic translation
Urdu to Persian translation
Urdu to hungry translation
Urdu to Greece translation
Urdu translation industry is expanding day by day due to number
of reasons and companies try to find more customers from all communities. There
is a large section of Urdu speaking people all over the world, due to which
companies prefer to provide information in their mother tongue.
Each industry has its own terminology that you must learn. Urdu
translation industry also has its own terms. If you are interested in doing a
project from English to Urdu translation, English will be your source language
and Urdu will be your target language.
If you are doing a project from Urdu to English translation
then Urdu is your source language and English will be your target language.
Before going to the next point, I would like to draw your
attention towards one more thing, Each language is a combination of other
languages (Except some rare languages like
Arabic, Sanskrit etc) and you need to know about those languages also;
because if you don’t know the roots then you can't reach any height.
In this blog, we are talking about Urdu as the focus. Urdu
is a combination of Arabic, Persian, and traces of other languages; in modern
time, Urdu has adopted lots of English words and now they are considered and
used as Urdu. In this article, we will not go in depth, as we want to provide a
basic idea of Urdu translation.
We don’t want to go in depth about any additional point over
here, as this is not our main area of concern. We just want to focus on how to become
an expert in Urdu translation.
So let's come to the point again. If Urdu is your mother tongue,
you don’t need to learn anything about tenses or sentence structures. However,
without a strong vocabulary and a bit of grammar, you can't be qualified as an
expert in Urdu translation.
Strong vocabulary is the foundation of any langue. To
improve your vocabulary and learn new words daily you need an Urdu into Urdu dictionary.
Read newspapers and Urdu magazine daily to get used to new words spoken in
educative society.
The words that are used in newspapers and magazines are not
used in spoken Urdu, so it will be very discouraging for you to memorize the vocabulary.
